In June, I’m leading some great girls at Crooked Creek for a week. It’s gonna be so much fun. SO MUCH FUN! One week at a Young Life camp is one of the best weeks of your life, guaranteed!
I say one of because I’ve done Work Crew, and for 3 weeks, I had a blast. Work Crew is where high schoolers work at one of Young Life’s camps for a month. They only have to provide their own transportation. It’s an amazing experience and the only thing I think that could top it would be Summer Staff, which is for college kids. I’m doing Summer Staff at Trail West Family Lodge in Buena Vista, CO this summer. Session 3. That is the same camp and same session that I did Work Crew for. I am ecstatic!
There’s just something about being with other people who also gave up weeks of their summer to serve kids or serve families. It’s invigorating.
I just cannot wait. At all.
I was a Young Life kid, and now a Young Life leader, and I am a different person than I once was because of it. Because it was through Young Life that I renewed my relationship with Jesus Christ. I don’t know if my relationship would have been the same without Young Life.
